PayBeat Support

Documentation

A guided walkthrough of getting set up and using the app day to day.

Setting up your accounts

From Accounts, add each account you want PayBeat to track — checking, savings, credit cards. Give each one a starting balance.

PayBeat never connects to your bank. Balances and transactions are entered directly, or imported from a statement file you choose to upload.

Bills and recurring transactions

Add anything that repeats — rent, subscriptions, paychecks — as a recurring transaction with its amount and schedule.

Recurring transactions are what make the cash flow projection useful: PayBeat uses them to know what's coming, not just what already happened.

You can pause or resume a recurring transaction at any time without deleting it.

The cash flow calendar

The calendar shows a projected balance for every day, with upcoming bills and income marked on the days they land.

Free accounts see the next 7 days. PayBeat Plus unlocks the full 30/60/90-day view.

Reconciling your statement

When a statement arrives, open Reconciliation for that account and check off each transaction that matches.

Reconciling turns a projected balance into a verified one — it's worth doing weekly if you want the projection to stay tight.

Budgets and categories

Categorize transactions to see where money is actually going, and set budget targets per category from Budgets.

Categories also power PayBeat's spending patterns, which feed back into the projection.

Sharing with your household

PayBeat Household lets you invite others to a shared budget with a simple invite code — everyone sees the same accounts, bills, and projection.

Generate an invite code from Settings. Anyone who redeems it joins the same household.
